Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator to support a Navy program in Pensacola, FL.  As a Linux Systems Administrator at CSA, you will play a vital role in supporting our federal clients' critical systems. How Your Role Will Make an Impact:

  • Perform routine system maintenance, including software updates, security patches, and system backups, to ensure the stability and security of Linux-based environments.
  • Configure and maintain Linux servers to optimize performance and reliability, ensuring they align with federal security standards.
  • Identify and resolve system and network issues promptly, minimizing downtime and service disruptions.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts, manage permissions, and enforce access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Implement and uphold stringent security measures, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and adherence to federal security regulations.
  • Establish and manage system monitoring tools to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and security threats.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and security protocols, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support federal clients' IT initiatives and projects, contributing to our mission of delivering impactful solutions.

  

What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI level clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT, including experience with Linux Knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and task efficiency.
  • Familiarity with federal security regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Certifications: DoD 8140 requirement (Sec+ or Bachelor's degree in a related field.)

What Sets You Apart:

  • Experience with supporting DoD network systems, including Navy POR systems and system administration.
  • Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI.
  • Knowledge of information security, including systems and network security, best practices, documentation, and user authentication.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) computing environment Certification for designated operating system.
