Jr. Veeam Backup Technician
CSA is looking for a Junior Veeam Backup Technician who will be responsible for managing the enterprise backups for our individual sites to ensure disaster recovery.

How Your Role Will Make an Impact:
- Managing backup systems, including troubleshooting failed jobs and running make-up jobs as necessary on a daily basis
- Monitoring backup jobs and alerts to ensure that backups are valid and occurring on a desired frequency
- Maintaining, updating and documenting the enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including new acquisitions when necessary
- Conducting analysis of enterprise systems to determine risks and implement disaster recovery best practices
- Scheduling, managing, and conducting backup testing and disaster recovery plan testing on a frequent basis
- Ensuring compliance with departmental policies (i.e., change management, security standards, release management, incident management)
- Setup and configure Veeam on server/client
- Monitor daily Veeam activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues
- Modify and optimize backup schedules.
- Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve missed and failed Veeam backups.
- Interface with vendors for escalation of issues
- Update Veeam policies and procedures.
- Good Knowledge on handing virtual infrastructure and VMs.
- Good skills on performance optimization.
- Solving complicated Hardware cases and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/ Veeam support
What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in configuring systems and hardware for compliance standards.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with interpreting technical assessments and communicating security issues to program leadership.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Security+ certification OR qualifying bachelors degree to meet DoD8140 DCWF WRC 451 requirements
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with Cybersecurity assessments using DoD hardening, RMF controls, CIS Benchmarks, and automated solutions.
- Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for securing networks, servers, and computers to enhance overall security.
- Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems, including Navy systems.
- Experience with scripting, including PowerShell.
- Experience with: Veeam Backup Solution
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a dynamic and fluid environment.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Computing Environment Certification for designated Operating Systems.
- Bachelor's degree.
