Thomas (Tom) Byrd is the Vice President, Army and Joint Staff programs of CSA. In this role, he oversees all program operations for CSA’s Army and Joint Staff contracts and task orders.
Since 2019, Tom has led a portfolio of Army programs, driving innovative approaches and solutions for modern warfare training, as well as complementary enterprise and digital solutions. He maintains strong relationships with CSA’s customers and coordinates closely with the growth team to cultivate relationships with both adjacent and prospective customers.
Before retiring in 2016, Tom served as a Colonel in the U.S. Army. He held the position of Command Inspector General for FORSCOM and served as Brigade Commander for the 3rd Military Police Group (CID). Additionally, he was the Director of the G8 Initiatives Group at HQDA and Chief of Staff at Fort Bliss/1st Armored Division.
Tom holds a Master of National Security Strategy from the National Defense University, a Master of Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A). in Criminal Justice from Seattle University.
