Emilie Vicchio is the Director of Marketing, Brand & Communication for CSA, where she guides and oversees her organization's internal and external messaging, executive communication, media partnerships, and in-house creative team. She provides strategic communication and media guidance for her organization during growth, mergers and acquisitions and day-to-day operations.
For more than a decade, Emilie has been part of creating multi-year award-winning cultures, providing strategies to create memorable employee experiences. Through her unique approach to communication, she blends visual design, behavioral science, and communication best practices to create memorable and objective-driving experiences for audiences of all sizes.
Before joining CSA in 2009, Emilie stood up and managed the operations for fan engagement programs for the Cleveland Guardians and San Diego Padres Major League Baseball teams and The Ohio State University football program, supporting adoption, sales and the enhancement of fan experiences during game days. Emilie was also a top brand representative for activation events for various clients in automotive, banking, consumer products and entertainment. She traveled North America to lead in-person brand activation events, from street teams and guerrilla marketing to sponsored events for large brands like Johnson & Johnson, GMC, Burger King, Nickelodeon, Mattel, AT&T and others.
Emilie is a two-time board member for the Women in Defense San Diego chapter, where she helps advance the support of women working in national security. She also supports the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) executive committee to support small, up-and-coming San Diego-based technology companies and supports the strategy for the organization's marketing efforts. Emilie is the 2023 Communicator of the Year from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) San Diego Chapter.
Emilie has an M.S. in strategic brand communication from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana, an MBA from Alfred University, and a B.S. in marketing and a B.A. in visual communication from Alfred University. She is a certified copy editor from the University of California San Diego and holds a certificate in leadership and change management from Cornell University.
