Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Business Development Data Analyst to support our Corporate Operations. This position can be done in a remote capacity. 


For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.  



How Role will make an impact:


Business Intelligence & Analysis

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources including market research, competitive intelligence, and internal performance metrics
  • Transform complex datasets into clear, concise executive summaries and presentations for the Chief Growth Officer
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pipeline health, win rates, and revenue forecasts
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic business development decisions

CRM Management & Optimization

  • Maintain and optimize CRM systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards tracking opportunities, customer interactions, and sales activities
  • Support pipeline management through systematic data entry, updates, and quality control
  • Develop and implement processes to improve CRM utilization across the business development team

Reporting & Documentation

  • Draft comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for executive leadership
  • Prepare market analyses, competitive assessments, and capability gap analyses
  • Create standardized reporting templates and processes to improve efficiency
  • Maintain documentation of business development processes, best practices, and lessons learned

Competitive Intelligence & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive competitive intelligence research on key competitors, teaming partners, and market players
  • Monitor and analyze competitor capabilities, past performance, contract wins/losses, and strategic positioning
  • Track competitor leadership changes, acquisitions, partnerships, and other significant developments
  • Develop competitive profiles and assessments to inform capture strategy and proposal positioning
  • Analyze contract award data to identify competitor strengths, weaknesses, and win patterns
  • Maintain a competitive intelligence database with actionable insights for the business development team

Strategic Support

  • Assist in the preparation of capture planning materials and pursuit decisions
  • Support proposal efforts through data analysis and content development
  • Provide competitive analysis inputs for Black Hat reviews and proposal strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional information gathering to support strategic initiatives

What you’ll need to have to join our award-winning team:

  • Clearance: Most be able to obtain and maintain an active clearance if necessary
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of professional experience in business analysis, data analytics, or related role
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (C2P, Salesforce, Deltek, or similar)
  • Previous experience in government contracting or defense sector preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and database management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for executive presentations
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple data sources

Analytical & Communication Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to parse complex data and distill key insights
  • Strong competitive intelligence gathering and analysis capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messages for executive audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to translate technical information into business-relevant insights
  • Experience synthesizing information from multiple sources to develop actionable intelligence

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Discretion in handling sensitive business information
  • Collaborative team player with positive attitude.
