CSA Welcomes Jerry Rullo

May 18, 2009 – Mechanicsburg, PA — CSA today announced that Mr. Jerry Rullo has joined CSA. Mr. Rullo was instrumental in the start of CSA and worked for the firm between 2003 and 2005. During that time he worked on several large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects in the federal government. After CSA Jerry worked for VeriSign in their Supply Chain Group managing RFID related projects and then heading up their pharmaceutical practice which focused on pedigree and serialization initiatives with manufacturers and wholesalers. Eventually Jerry started his own company called Avidimo Technology. Avidimo specialized in designing and implementing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry around serialization of their supply chains through the use of RFID and 2D barcodes. The FDA and states like California as well as dozens of other nations have laws on the books which mandate pharmaceutical companies to actively track their products through the supply chains in order to combat pharmaceutical counterfeiting which is estimated to be at $75 billion per year by 2010. Doing this requires technology such as RFID and integration with ERP system, but also strong business process, problem-solving and project management skills which are the hallmark of CSA. Jerry during his time at Avidimo and Verisign, successfully lead client engagements in serialized supply chain solutions at companies such as AstraZeneca, Novartis, Genzyme, Cephalon, Endo Pharmaceuticals and J&J.

Now that Jerry is part of CSA, he brings with him the know-how and experiences necessary for CSA to begin its entrance into the health care and life sciences market while at the same time leveraging CSA’s existing capabilities and relationships to utilize serialization in other industries as well. "We are thrilled to have Jerry back at CSA. His knowledge of supply chain management, the issues facing the pharmaceutical industry and the regulatory issues associated with serialization make Jerry a great addition to our health care focus at CSA" remarked CSA CEO Lee Arroyo.
