CSA Recognizes Mel Salazar and Amy Gee for Achieving Certifications to Enable Quality Services to Clients
December 1, 2010 – Mechanicsburg, PA — Client Solution Architects LLC announced today two more employees who have successfully achieved certifications in their respective expertise. Mr. Mel Salazar successfully achieved the Project Management Institutes Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Ms. Amy Gee successfully completed the National Contracts Management Association Certified Federal Contracts Manager program.
Mr. Salazar works in the Government Contracting and Aerospace and Defense industry. He provides professional services for weapon system acquisition and project management. He had over six years of project management experience when he decided to pursue his PMP certification. Mr. Salazar enrolled in the PMP Preparation Workshop through Kugan & Associates to meet the requirements for 35 contact hours and he studied for three months prior to taking the examination.
“All of my project management experiences are with the Department of Defense (DoD) and now that I have studied the Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and related materials, I can relate how project management is accomplished within the civilian industry. This gives me a broader sense of knowledge when I interface with A&D companies who hold contracts with the Department of Defense. At the same time, my PMP training, the PMBOK, and association with PMI will help me provide better service to my clients especially with the current and future funding constraints DoD is facing”, said Mel Salazar of CSA.
Mr. Salazar’s training and experience complements the Acquisition – Program Management services CSA provides to clients in the Federal Government Contracting industry and to the DoD. With a deep understanding and experience with DoD and Federal Government acquisition policies, CSA is able to help clients achieve significant cost, schedule and performance improvements in their complex system acquisitions.
Ms. Gee also works in the Government Contracting and Aerospace and Defense industry. She provides professional Contracts Management and Acquisition services to clients managing complex DoD weapon system programs and contracts.
"Being certified in Federal Contracts Management gives me added confidence in my day-to-day job at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) and provides me with knowledge of other Federal Contracts Management practices beyond DoD. The certification process enhanced my knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) which will directly help me deliver results for my clients”, stated CSA’s Ms. Gee.
Ms. Gee’s accomplishment directly reflects her deep understanding of Contracts Management within the Federal arena and her proactive dedication to enhancing her professional knowledge and job performance. Her training and experience complement the Contracts Management services CSA provides to clients in the Federal Acquisition Community, DoD and commercial sector. CSA’s Contracts Managers are experts who have assisted their clients with the award and management of over $11 billion in Government contracts. CSA commercial clients also leverage CSA’s experience to help them more efficiently and effectively manage their own Federal contracts.
