CSA Wins Contract Renewal With The Naval Inventory Control Point

October 26, 2010 – Mechanicsburg, PA — CSA has been awarded a $3.4 million contract to provide supply chain management, procurement, data validation and analysis services to the United States Navy, Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) in Mechanicsburg, PA. This contract is a renewal of last year’s successful effort and is directly attributable to all the hard work and quantifiable results CSA provided to NAVICP during the previous contract.

“NAVICP has been going through a major business transformation initiative and required personnel to augment their organic navy staff as they focus on implementing the new Navy ERP system”, said Mike Beliveau, Senior Manager at CSA. “Working under the previous contract in fiscal year 2010, our team cleared 2,750 erroneous Carcass Tracking, Stock In-Transit (SIT) and Un-Reconciled Balances (URB) records, totaling over $126M and inventoried over 42,000 items worth over $600M. Providing value to our clients and ultimately the tax payer is our number one focus at CSA. We were clearly able to provide exceptional value while executing against the previous contract and look forward to improving on our performance in the coming year now that we have streamlined our processes.”

CSA will continue to provide NAVICP's Ships and Submarine Support Directorate with inventory management and program management services in support of naval weapon systems.

CSA will also continue to provide valuable training and expertise to NAVICP program managers as they prepare to re-negotiate the premier NAVICP Mechanicsburg Performance Based Logistics contract supporting the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System. In direct support of the Navy ERP implementation, CSA will provide a team to assist with metrics analysis and data cleansing efforts. As a result of CSA’s successful performance in FY10, NAVICP added additional requirements to the new contract to provide acquisition specialists to support the NAVICP contracting department with post award actions.
