CSA Delivering Consulting Services for One of the World's Largest Retailers


April 15, 2010 – Harrisburg, PA — CSA has been awarded a subcontract with JDA Software to provide Supply Chain Management (SCM) consulting services to a global retail company that runs a chain of large, discount department stores. The company’s primary goal is to strengthen their customer shopping experience by ensuring merchandise is available when the customer comes into one of their 3,500 retail locations.

One of the key components to meeting this goal is to improve forecast accuracy. CSA has been brought in to implement a demand management solution that will leverage advanced statistical analysis techniques which will produce a baseline forecast that segments demand patterns by their unique selling behavior (i.e. slow moving, seasonal, lumpy). We will also be assisting the client with incorporating their promotional and external event impacts into the final forecast. Ultimately these improved forecasting recommendations will enable the client to better synchronize their customer demands with their available sources of supply. The end result being increased customer satisfaction as the customer will be able to purchase what they want when they want.
