CSA Awarded a Contract to Provide Acquisition and Program Management Services to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Acquisition and Procurement) – (DASN (AP))
October 13, 2011 – Mechanicsburg, PA — Client Solution Architects, LLC, (CSA) was recently awarded a three year $6 million prime contract to provide Acquisition and Program Management Services to assist in the development of the future Enterprise Procurement System (EPS) that will be used by the Department of the Navy. CSA as prime contractor and its teammates Science Application International Corporation (SAIC) and Logistics & Acquisition Partners (L&AP) will provide the DASN (AP) E-Business Program Office the services and expertise needed to establish and execute an EPS program that meets its cost, schedule and performance goals.
The DON $47 billion FY 12 procurement budget enables the acquisition of a diverse suite of supplies, equipment and services necessary to support the U.S. Navy fleet, infrastructure and support personnel. DON contracting professionals in the 12 Headquarters Contracting Authorities (HCA) drive the procurement process within the DON and with industry to ensure it is timely, compliant and cost effective. They execute thousands of transactions at the field level for a range of services and supplies. At the HSC SYSCOM level, they execute complex weapon system procurements for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems, ships or aircraft. These HCA professionals must respond to demands of the fleet, constrained budgets, technology innovations, new acquisition policies and a changing industrial supplier base.
“In order to meet the needs of the Navy, CSA has made it a priority to establish a corporate environment where innovative ideas and solutions are recognized and delivered for the benefit of our clients,” CSA Director of Service Line Management Patrick Carney said. “Our people have responded to this challenge by integrating tools and technology into our service line offerings such as our acquisition starter schedule. This is a reusable, repeatable tool which enables an acquisition program office to quickly build out integrated master schedules for the program.”
